Essential Information

When: The trip is 4 days/3 nights and is usually in March.

Estimated Cost: Student - $1100 and Adult - $1300 *Includes all tours, lodging, transportation, and food. Everything is included except spending money for snacks and souvenirs. This is just an estimate; we will announce the exact amount at the mandatory parent meeting, which will be held at the beginning of the school year.

Payments: The cost of the trip will be broken into monthly installments. This ensures the account will be paid in full prior to the trip. The money you earn from fundraisers will be deducted from your account balance.

Fundraisers: We do multiple fundraisers to lower the cost of the trip. I encourage everyone to participate in each fundraiser. In the past, students have raised enough money to pay for as much as half of their trip. The three main fundraisers are listed below. We may add a few more if there is enough interest from the parents and students.

Fundraisers - Money Towards Your Trip

Wreath Sales $10 per item

BBQ Lunch $4 per ticket

Applebee’s Breakfast $6 per ticket

Joining Club DC: There will be a mandatory parent meeting held at the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. We will discuss the tentative itinerary, final cost, and all of the information listed above in more detail. There are a limited number of spots available on the trip. The first 47 students and 5 adults that arrive at the meeting AND pay the initial $100 nonrefundable deposit will be guaranteed a spot on the trip. As you enter the room you will be given a number. We will then accept the $100 deposit in numerical order at the end of the meeting.

I hope you are interested in joining us on this once in a lifetime trip to our nation’s capital. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Miss Breaux at deanna.breaux@okee.k12.fl.us.
